From Ekal Teacher to Sub Inspector in Uttar Pradesh Police
Ms. Sapna Kumari daughter of Shri Jagpal Singh belonging from Hapur district got selected in Uttar Pradesh Police as a Sub Inspector. She served Ekal as a dedicated Teacher till 9 years from 2013 to 2021 in Saloni Ki Madhaiyya village under Sanch Brajghat, Garhmukteshwar Anchal in Hapur district. Ekal is really proud of her & wishes a very hearty congratulations on being selected in UP Police. She has glorified the name of Ekal & will always be remembered for her dedicated work

I went through a formal training to become a Kathakar. This training was organised by Ekal Abhiyan Sanskar Shiksha at Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh for 9 months which has enabled me to go to various places singing the praises of Shri Krishna and taking my great civilization and culture to many people. We narrate the great stories of our Gods and ancestors during various festivals and occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and house warming etc. These occasions have brought a lot of transformations in the thinking of people in villages and has enriched me personally. Many have given up the addiction to alcohol and bad habits. I always wanted to serve my country by becoming a soldier but Ekal Abhiyan has facilitated me to serve my country in this way and I am very grateful for the same.
Ekal on Wheels changed the life of Swaroop Sharma
Swaroop Sharma hails from Palampur, Himachal Pradesh and is posted as a Postmaster. At the age of 50, Swaroop Sharma was doing his work with full dedication, but as per the government guidelines, all the post offices started getting computerized. Learning computer at this stage of his life was a big challenge for Swaroop Sharma.But in this whirlpool of challenges, Ekal on Wheels came as a ray of hope for him, from where he took basic training of computer. At the age of 50, Swaroop Sharma had decided to quit his job due to lack of computer knowledge. Now, after learning computer from Ekal on Wheels, he is doing his work smoothly and with great efficiency. Today, with a small effort of Ekal, the whole life of Swaroop Sharma has changed.
An Ekal Teacher joins BMP, A Para-Military Unit
Asha Kumari, an Ekal teacher from the Village Parwaha, Sanch Basantpur, District Supaul joined the Bihar Military Police (BMP) which is the State Armed Police Force of Bihar State. She gave her social service as an Ekal teacher from 1st October, 2016 till got selected in the Police Force. She belongs to a poor family but always dreamt to serve the nation as a soldier. She passed the intermediate exam in 2015. After that she was married at an early age of 18 years but still not gave up her efforts to join the Police Force. Ekal gave her a chance to explore & she is very grateful to Ekal Abhiyan.
Computer Education has made Anand Yadav independent
Anand Yadav of village Atva of Mishrikh block in Sitapur, UP completed his high school and came to know about the free computer education services provided by Ekal GRC at Nemisharanya. He says, “I am very grateful to Ekal GRC for this free education given to us. ”Anand says, my wish was fullled by GRC. After completing the course, I opened up a shop where I made vehicle number plates with radium cutting etc. At present, I am earning Rs15,000/- per month.
Ekal alumni won medals at National Level
An Ekal Vidyalaya student, Karn Singh from village Rajol, in Kotla block of Himachal Pradesh competes in national wrestling. Karn, from the very beginning was a sports lover with special interest in wrestling. He used to participate in all bouts around. He later performed very well in the state championship and won several awards. He performed very well in the national championship. Similarly, a girl, Shabina, from the same Ekal Vidyalaya, excelled in Kho-Kho and Kabbadi at state level.
This is the story from Silli block in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. Sunita (now 21 years), a resident of Kareydih village of the Silli block is now serving in the MGM Medical College & Hospital as a staff nurse. In the year 2004 to 2006 she was a regular student in Ekal Vidyalaya in the village. After this she was directly admitted to sixth grade in the local government school. Later, she graduated passing the Jharkhand Academic Council examination. She took training for nursing and got employment with ease. Sunita’s parents and she herself talk without any hesitation as to how Ekal has changed her life.
Ekal alumini wins International Karate Champion
Ekal Vidyalaya alumni Chandan Kumar Yadav, a resident of Muzaffarpur, Sanch Sikarganj (Jageshwar Dham) Kashi, told us that they had Ekal Vidyalaya in their village. Acharya Shri Prabhu Pal, conducted daily classes in the evening. Acharya ji used to come to my house repeatedly and take me to school and tell me sports stories. I started practicing Karate and slowly my passion grew. Starting with participation in district level competitions, I moved ahead and competed in state and then for my country and also had an opportunity to an International event in Visakhapatnam – “International Karate February 2017” where I won the silver medal for Bharat. Not only this, later on in 3rd International Karate Championships 2018 held in Kathmandu, I won Bronze medal. Now my confidence is sky high and I want to win 10 gold medals.
From Ekal Abhiyan to Border
Shri Dinesh Singh Tomar was born on 18th October 1967 in village Bhaina, Tehsil Garhmukteshwar, District Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his studies up to intermediate while in village only. His father was a farmer. He also had a brother and a sister. During studies only, he was selected as a constable in BSF in 1987. From 1987 to 2009, he was posted at various border posts from Jammu & Kashmir to Mijoram and took voluntary retirement in August 2009 while he was posted in Barmer district of Rajasthan. Besides spouse, he has two sons, elder one is MBA and working with a company in Gurgaon and younger son runs a consultancy rm in Delhi. Shri Dinesh Singh had a inclination towards social service. He was president of VHP district committee in 2011. In 2013, he got associated with Ekal Abhiyan and became President, Hapur district committee. He worked very hard with dedication and opened 180 Ekal Vidyalaya in Garh Mukteshwar. Since the formation of Brij Mandal Up-Sambhag on 18th August 2017, he is the Vice President of Up-Sambhag.
Study of MBA
Short structured Km Mansi from village Bhajrala, Tehsil Jogender Nagar, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh started her studies as student of Ekal Vidyalaya in 2006. After that she studied in local Government school and completed 10th in rst division. Meanwhile she some how remained associated with Ekal Vidyalaya. Thereafter she pursued further studies from Santraj College, Baijnath district Kangra. She has two younger sisters and a brother. They have also studied in Ekal Vidyalaya. Her father goes to Kangra for earning livelihood. Her mother is also travelling very often. Being the eldest, she has the responsibility to support her siblings but despite of this, she has completed MBA now and trying for the job in Bank and participating in other competitions to achieve her goal.
