Social Impact of Ekal Vidyalaya & Third Party Assessment
- Socio-cultural-economic Development – Inculcating traditional values and culture at young age apart from imparting basic education and educating to use local resources.
- 73 lakhs students passed out. Ekal students made careers in army, teaching, sports etc.
- Building nation by five-fold education- Educated India, Healthy India, Self-reliant India, Aware India, Drug-free India, Organized India, Safe India, One India, culturally strong India.
- Instrumental in addressing national problems- terrorism, conversion, naxalism- By opening Schools in border areas (Punjab, Rajasthan, J&K, UP, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh etc.), hilly areas (Himachal, Uttarakhand), in Naxal affected areas (Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, North-Eastern states etc.) besides in rural and tribal villages.
- Women Empowerment – About 50% of the children studying in a school are girls, the number of female teachers is 72%, and the number of women workers is 22%
